West Chester University's Scholarship of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (SoTLA) conference will focus on enhancing the faculty members view on student learning as it relates to assessment, classroom engagement, and online technology within the higher education community. The goal of this conference is to make the work of teaching, learning, and assessment public for continued professional development.
Learner Centered Teaching Workshop
Join us in this hands-on workshop that will focus on the characteristics that differentiate this form of pedagogy from active learning and student engagement. More and more faculty are working to incorporate policies, practices, techniques and approaches that focus on learning. Is that what makes teaching learner-centered? Is there any difference between active learning, student engagement and learner-centered teaching? Come explore this teaching methodology and enhance your ability to be a facilitator of learning in the classroom. The conference is all day, but the workshop is an additional $50.00 and will be held from 10:00 - 11:45 am.
Parking
Parking will be available behind Sykes Student Union. Additional parking is available in M Lot, at the corner of S. Matlack Street and E. Rosedale Avenue.
